Information & Resources For Responsible Development

  Landuse.org
This website provides a proven, do-it-yourself process for ending conflict and creating land developments that benefit surrounding neighborhoods. The result of twelve years of philanthropically funded participation in more than 500 meetings between neighbors of proposed projects, developers, planning boards, and environmental groups, the process detailed on this website causes projects to be designed specifically to improve quality of life and property values in adjacent neighborhoods. Focused on community development and neighborhood enhancement, the research with forty-eight proposed developments has yielded a valuable procedure -- the Project Integration Procedure -- which produces these key advantages:

• Community-enhancing features are included in each proposed project.
• The permitting process is less controversial, faster, easier, and with less litigation.
•No outside facilitator is needed.
•A prototype neighborhood website to help each neighborhood organize and deal with proposed projects is now available.
